Travelers often write or call and ask questions. As they’re often the same questions, we thought we’d save you the time of asking them.

Q:Allergies ?
I’m allergic to carpet dust. Have you taken this complaint into consideration?
R:To avoid this very situation, our recently renovated rooms all have wooden floors. Your allergy will give you no trouble during your stay.

Q:Foods?
Certain types of nuts, dairy products and other foods cause allergies for some. How to know how to choose among your breakfast foods?
R:We’re careful to indicate which among our breakfast offerings could cause problems among people with certain allergies.

Q:Parking?
I’m looking forward to visiting the city on foot. Is it possible to leave the car in your lot?
R:You can leave your car with us in all confidence. Reasonable rates apply.

Q:Bathroom?
Is every room equipped with a private bathroom?

R:Each and every one has its own bath (whirlpool bath in each suite), shower and toilet.

Q:Animals?
Are pets allowed in the Auberge?
R:Unfortunately not. This is out of respect for guests with allergies.

Q:Rates?
What is the per-night rate at the Auberge?
R:Our rates vary according to season, naturally, but are always good value for money. They’re posted on this site: select the room or suite you intend to book.

Q:Schedule?
Is the Auberge open year round? All day and night?
R:Auberge du Carré St-Louis is indeed open year round. Generally speaking bookings can be accommodated by phone between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.

Q:Cooking?
May I prepare my own meals at your inn?
R:Auberge du Carré St-Louis features a fully equipped guest kitchen. Speak to the concierge about using it.

Q:Smoking?
May I smoke at the Auberge?
R:It is against the law to smoke in all inns in Montreal.
Why bother with the second sentence?

Q:Activities?
Does the Auberge organize any activities or excursions?
R:No, these are not services we offer. We offer free apéritifs in certain restaurants (see Specials). As well, there is a wealth of information on Montreal and its attractions, in the Auberge’s lobby.

Q:Children?
Are children welcome at the Auberge?
R:Children accompanied by an adult are always welcome at the Auberge. Non-accompanied children are not allowed.

Q:Handicapped persons?
Are the Auberge’s installations accessible to the handicapped?
R:Though fully renovated, the Auberge is an old building and is unfortunately not wheelchair-accessible. We urge you to phone if you need more information in this area.
