We’ve named the rooms and suites of the Auberge in homage to the artists and writers who have lived in the quartier du Carré St-Louis.

Chloé Ste-Marie
As a five-year-old she dreamed of acting and the theatre. At 18, after meeting filmmaker Gilles Carle, her dream came true, as he gives her a singing role in her first onscreen appearance. In 1993 she put out her first record while pursuing her acting work. Her lyrics speak of Quebec; her albums include First Nation songs. When life partner Gilles Carle developed Parkinson’s disease, she sought to influence government funding for the infirm, and to heighten public awareness of related issues.
