We’ve named the rooms and suites of the Auberge in homage to the artists and writers who have lived in the quartier du Carré St-Louis.

Claude Jutras
He was a member of the generation of trailblazing Quebec filmmakers. He wrote and directed several films that garnered prestigious awards and won him recognition at several film festivals. And yet he had failures in Quebec and established himself in Toronto. His masterly Mon Oncle Antoine was three times voted Best Canadian Film of All Time. Knowing that he was suffering from Alzheimer’s, he took his life at age 65, leaving an unfinished screenplay.
