We’ve named the rooms and suites of the Auberge in homage to the artists and writers who have lived in the quartier du Carré St-Louis.

Michel Tremblay
Playwright, novelist and scriptwriter, his is a brilliant literary career. He has written an impressive number of plays describing the everyday life of Montrealers. His screenplays are eloquent commentaries on the family. Born in Montreal, he grew up in the Plateau Mont-Royal neighbourhood, which inspired many autobiographical stories. He’s also written lyrics for songs by Quebec singers Pauline Julien, Renée Claude and Monique Leyrac. His works have been translated and have run in many countries.
