We’ve named the rooms and suites of the Auberge in homage to the artists and writers who have lived in the quartier du Carré St-Louis.

Clémence Desrochers
Daughter of the poet Alfred Desrochers, a woman of letters and of the stage, she opened several boîtes à chanson (nightclubs that feature singers) and organized many musical revues. She favoured monologues, and in funny and true stories she described la réalité québécoise. Her theatrical endeavours were seen across the province and gave enormous pleasure to her wide following. She wrote several books recapturing her monologues, her songs and her shows.
